Every time I have tried to call this office, it just puts me on hold for 2 minutes and then someone hangs up on me without even answering. Somebody's apparently being paid a good city union salary to sit around and not do their job.
Don't use their online system.

Terrible experience. The tax office had a glitch in their online tax payment system that failed to recognize a checking account number that was copied and pasted in, then counted it as a returned check, charged me $30 and forced me to get a certified check from my bank. And when I complained she just said "we don't waive fees or interest" and that was that. Great. So a problem with your system makes me pay $33.87 extra and then will tow my car if I refuse to pay for your error.
And to think I was one of the few students who actually registered their cars. I wish I hadn't. I'm still paying taxes on a car I sold 7 months ago, they decided to charge me for 3/4 of the year. Again, no recourse.
