Their financial aid department is a joke no compassion for the economic climate we are living in.

If I could give Southern zero stars I absolutely would. They are extremely unorganized, they don't care about you as a student AT ALL.. They cancelled a BIO class that I really needed a week before classes start. I emailed the head of the department asking for a solution and all I got was a too bad.. Now because of this I have to attend an extra semester and will not be graduating in time.. They offer classes at odd times which makes it hard for you to sign up for classes back to back, so far the professors I had don't care about you and are not understanding.. I graduated from Western Connecticut and I never had a problem with them and now because of Southern I have to spend more of my time and money that I don't have...

State School ye right

I earned my masters degree in English here and am incredibly grateful for my amazing professors. I loved the experience, the challenge, and the community I became a part of and still keep in touch with. Southern changed my entire perspective for the better

Graduating in May and i absolutely loved this school. I ended up graduating early and made lots of friends and had great experiences. This school is a commuter school , so might not be as many on campus activities.

I thought going to College was suppose to be great experience. Every year with place it's all about Money. If this is a State College well I pay my taxes and then some so as a tax payer the only thing I would ask for is help with financial aid. Every year they send threatening letters to my niece that she will not be allowed in if they don't get their money by a certain time.

I know faculty from my major had a lot to do with my experience here. If granted the chance, I’d love to teach here in the future :)

Southern’s Faculty & Staff truly went the extra mile for me and other students. I received my B.S in Public Health and can honestly say it’s only because of southern’s generosity. I was one semester shy of graduating and had no extra financial resources to remain on campus or pay for my summer internship. They awarded me work study and offered aid to help me get into a place close to campus that I could afford. I love this school, my only regret is not attending several years ago when I first wanted to.
