The cutest little cafe in all of New Haven! First time here and I fell in love with this place. The food is a little pricey but for the amount that you get it is definitely worth it! Very charming and I highly recommend it
Wow! Our first time for breakfast. We had the Biscuits and Gravy special and the Cafe Benedict. Absolutely delicious. Cappuccino and cafe au lait were great. Service was excellent. Thank you Danielle.
We arrived at around 10 on the weekend and waited for around half an hour. Great spot for a cozy and lovely brunch. Some dishes are regular and they also change the menu from time to time. I loved the salmon risotto, the combination with poached eggs and capers sauce is brilliant. Shrimp and grits is their signature dish, but however a bit salty for my friend and me. With the friendly staff, good vibes and reasonable prices, no wonder always a long queue outside.
Comfort food is right. But if you're looking for an option that isn't so comforting, you might not find it. Brunch waits are always sizeable for any size group, with space relatively limited. Menu specials are always creative, one good reason you'll want to keep coming back.
Bella's has the best shrimp and grits that I've ever eaten. It's served in an adorable cast iron skillet with scrambled eggs, jumbo shrimp, chorizo sausage, smooth grits, a delicious sauce poured over the mix and a biscuit to eat it all with.
