Best canolli EVER!!! Great family owned business! Authentic Italian pastry and gelato shop. Highly recommended!!
The aesthetic of the storefront may not be fancy, but my taste buds sure did fancy the cannoli.
Their pastries, cakes & cookies are all delicious & authentic... prices very good & if you like you can sit on a bench outside and take in the scenery historic Wooster St.
The 1/2 star off is because I have heard people say that the staff isn't nice, or give's zero f's. I get it. It doesn't bother me because I know they are an oldschool, no-nonsense, looong established family business, but yeah... you won't be pampered.)
Other than that... Libby's is GREAT.
I'd love to give you some glamour shots of this place but the true value is in the food and the people. The actual building is old and very lived in & loved. SOLID Italian neighborhood, good Italian coffee and the Italian ice is beyond what you've ever tasted in an Italian ice. I recommend the chocolate or the coconut for first timers. So creamy and full flavored!!
When you've finished stuffing your face with the BEST pizza in the world, if you have room for dessert go to Libby's!
An old style Italian pastry shoppe that is totally a must visit. Cash only so ensure that you bring cash.
Of note: this place is old school. CASH ONLY. Go across the street to Tony's if you find yourself with only card in hand. They have an ATM in the lobby ($2.50 fee)
Oh & if you need to cool off, or want a refreshing treat, the Italian ices are the best I've ever had. Tons of wonderful flavors that taste so natural.
